Lory was found on a high speed road in Romania. She had an injured leg and was taken by two kind people to a vet. Then, she arrived in Bucharest and was living with her rescuers. Because they were away from home for quite long periods, and little Lory was all alone, they stumbled upon an unexpected situation. She began chewing on her injured leg and, then, on her healthy one also.

They took her to the vet again but seeing that not even with a cone around her neck, Lory could not be stopped from hurting herself, they asked for our help. Nothing seemed to work in her case so we took her in our care hoping that among other animals, she wouldn’t be so stressed and mutilate herself.
The first two days, she was quite upset and wouldn’t let us touch her. Meanwhile, we didn’t put the cone on and she stopped chewing on her legs. Then, she finally understood that we mean no harm and showed us her loving and gentle side.
One of her legs is already healed and we hope that the other one will also heal soon.
Untill her full recovery, Lory will remain in our care. She has been spayed.
