I’m Spike and I’m confused. I was born near some people who at first glance seemed to be nice. When I was about a month old, they proved me wrong and threw me and my brothers on a derelict lot where there was no food or shelter, but only a sewer we could have fallen into.
I don’t know how we suddenly got lucky, but someone came and took us to a place where our primary needs were finally being met. I am thankful for this, but I wish I had more, for example a family.
The only thing I need to understand is when to trust people and when not to.
