Nobody likes seeing stray dogs in the streets. Some because they consider them aggressive or messy; others because they realize the lives of these dogs is often short, and involves enduring huger, cold, thirst and complete lack of affection.

Buster is one of Kiki’s 4 pups, he had the luck to be adopted by Ioana that liked him right when she first saw him. The little one doesn’t understand why he is kept in her arms and why he cannot go and play with his brothers; but he will soon understand that he arrived home where he will be better than ever. Tigruta showed up in the patches of grass between blocks a while ago, like many other stray cats. A lady felt sorry for her and took her inside during winter. But all the lady can offer the cat is a small space and very few hours of company, and the kitty is longing for more room to move and some friends. She’s a young neutered female, housebroken.
This was the phrase said by the vet that analyzed the blood samples: regarding what this blood samples show this dog couldn’t possibly live.
Let me tell you her story. Today I saw her sleeping on a side walk. I couldn’t believe she looked in this horrible way so I approached to see what’s wrong with her. I left immediately to seek for help. When I was back the female dog was slowly heading towards a road directly under the wheels of a car, or actually under the tram approaching her. Six beautiful scared innocent souls have been abandoned by a heartless person. We might call them lucky because someone found them and fostered them for two days.
Most puppies don’t have that chance and their lives are at stake at any moment, but this isn’t the kind of problem to deal with if it’s so much easier to just throw them away like garbage. Continue reading
Kiki, or Puppymom as we call her, gave birth to four beautiful puppies in the unfriendliest crossroads possible. But she fed them and took care of them and raised them with love and care.
Puppies have been in our care for one month and a half now, they grew up nicely, had their shots, and now they’re eager to meet their new families. Buster is due to meet his owners tomorrow so fingers crossed for him! We secretly hope his owner will also adopt one of his brothers, which would make Buster so much happier! If you do like one of the pups and think you could adopt one, please let us know!

The mother cat and her five kittens were found in a box in the middle of a street. They were sheltered first in the yard of a block of flats, then in a toilet room, but, obviously, they cannot stay there for long. The mother is very friendly and grateful, and her eyes look like a deer’s. She started to purr the moment she was caressed, it was, no doubt, her way of showing gratitude to the lady who saved her family and took care of it. Continue reading

Municipality of Bucharest City Hall put into public debate a project of a Local Council of Bucharest decision regarding the fate of stray dogs. Dog owners will be forced to sterilize and record their animals, and people who want to adopt dogs from City Hall shelters will pay a fee of 170 lei.
