Unfortunately the news are not so good. At 1.30 am the puppy had an epileptic crisis, he started to shiver and to bite the cage bars. The doctors gave him a medicine to calm him, but the temperature of the little one started to decrease and all the doctor’s efforts were in vain. At around 8.30 am we were announced that the puppy died.
We are sorry that despite all the good news we received after the surgery, the puppy’s body didn’t resist.

Lexy arrived home
Lexy is one of Mr. M’s 40 cats.
She had the bad luck to be adopted and returned after just a few hours, but also the good luck to be adopted again, we hope that this time she found her home for the rest of her life.
Today we had the joy of receiving news and a photo of her. It appears the little one has adapted well to her new location and she was lucky, in our opinion, to find a patient family willing to make her feel at home.

Sofisticat (spring edition) results
We had two hectic days, with lots of encounters, talking, congratulations and encouraging from people who know and support us, with lots of advice that we gave to people who stopped to ask for help concerning stray animals that they care about. And the result: 8 cats adopted in two days at the SofistiCat exhibition! It’s a big number to us and we are very thankful to our dear friend, Candice, and to the SofistiCat Feline Association, who invite us year after year and give us the chance to find a home for the cats in our care.
Special case. Injured tomcat needs help
The little tomcat in these images was found by two good-hearted young people. He was in a terrible situation. After an accident he had a broken paw and internal hemorrhage. His rescuers took him to a veterinarian hospital and they paid for his treatment until he was stable. When they couldn’t afford to pay further treatments necessary, they asked for our help. Today the little one was put in splints in an attempt to save his broken paw and he was neutered, too. If the paw doesn’t heal itself, it will be amputated and the poor cat will have only three legs. Special case. Dog with prolapse (Attention! Shocking images)
Someone recently wrote us about the miserable life of a few puppies. Even if we cannot take them with us because our shelter is overcrowded, Alina I., one of Robi’s volunteers, went to see what their situation is. One look was enough. She took the little one, who was in a terrible state, and hospitalized him at Marco Vet as an emergency.
The puppy will have a surgical operation today and he will stay in hospital until Monday. His condition is very serious and it’s impossible to tell if the surgery can save him. Continue reading
Idu, the blind tomcat is at his home
Idu, one of the tomcats saved by us from a plum orchard, had an eye infection and despite our efforts to partially save his eyesight, the little one remained blind. We lost our hope that in his situation will be adopted, but look that the miracle happened. Idu was adopted a long time ago and feels great in his new and permanent home. The owners love him and of course Idu is melted after them.
Thank you dear friends for adopting a tomcat in this situation and especially that you love and spoil him as a child.
‘Robi’ at Sofisticat was lucky
For Tin and Balenutzu, two of our tomcats who were at Sofisticat, today was a lucky day. Both were adopted and now they enjoy the attention of new owners. Our other cared ones can be seen and adopted tomorrow at Sofisticat Spring Show 2013 – Bucharest – Romania between 10-17 at Sala Palatului, Bucharest. We hope you will take them with you and you will make them happy.
They whispered that they will do everything they can to be the model cat and most likely they will keep their promise.

The paralyzed little one and thanks to Oana P
Mika was abandoned in a box near a group of other puppies that were looked after by a lady with a golden soul. Because Mika cannot use her back legs she was hospitalized, checked and treated. Her luck is that her spine is not broken and the vets give her chances to recover. She needs lots of attention and care while she recovers, exercises too. Mika is in foster care until 28th of aprile 2013 and for this we really thank Oana P. who offered to help her.

Special case. Fancy needs help
Fancy is a stray dog that was lucky to survive on the streets of Bucharest for years, being protected and accepted in a neighborhood with nice people. His luck ended recently when he was hit by a car and as e result of this accident now he has a bone fracture at one leg. His protectors hospitalized him for surgery but they cannot support the whole cost so they asked for financial support.
