Special case. Little paralysed cat

paraliLittle, as we named her, was found surrounded by dogs. She was in shock, wounded and the worst thing was that she could not move her back legs.
She was hospitalized at dr Bercaru, investigated and treated. Her spine seems to have no injury but she still cannot use her legs and crawls in order to move. She can feel them and might be able to walk soon. It is also possible that she makes no progress and stays in this condition. She can defecate and urinate on her own but does not use the ltter box so she needs to be cleaned after. Continue reading →

Special case. Margo and her dog life

margoIn Bucharest, where abandoning animals is a common practice and where indifference is incredibly high, we receive many cries for help for injured, sick and stray animals in danger.
Unfortunately, we cannot take them all in our care but we try really hard to help in each case.

Last night, we received a call from a young lady that got out of the Politehnica subway station where she saw a trembling dog and next to her some teenagers that thought it would be fun to start kicking her. Continue reading →

Special case. Kuki, dog with owner needs help

kukiKuki has an owner. She is around 7 years old, is not spayed and gave birth to many litters as her owner told us, one of them coming from one of her sons. Countless litters, some of them having genetic problems, were all given to friends of the owner. Kuki has a tumor more than 6 month old but luckily for her, we were asked for help (we will see how lucky she really is). Colonel – another hopeless dog?

colonelulColonel got his name due to the problems he had with his spine after he was in an accident and was left paralyzed. He had a surgery by dr Bercaru and is now walking like nothing ever happened in the first place.
Colonel still has some problems, though. One of those is that he has no family of his own and the other one is the fact that he doesn’t trust people.
If someone would try giving him a chance, that someone will have to give him a lot of time to adapt and a large space to run free in for he does not let anyone handle him. In time, he will regain his trust and be grateful to the ones that should give him the chance to a normal life.
