News about Lory
Lory was found on a high speed road in Romania. She had an injured leg and was taken by two kind people to a vet. Then, she arrived in Bucharest and was living with her rescuers. Because they were away from home for quite long periods, and little Lory was all alone, they stumbled upon an unexpected situation. She began chewing on her injured leg and, then, on her healthy one also.

Special case. Paralyzed cat in need of help
We often heard that stray cats have their way of getting around and the fact that they are living on the streets presents no danger to them. In our experience, this theory has been, obviously proved wrong countless times.
This cat was found Sunday evening lying on the sidewalk, surrounded by dogs. She cannot move her back legs and crawls in order to move. She is covered in bite marks all over her face and back. Most probably the victim of a car accident or a hateful blow, she would have had no chance of surviving on the streets.

Marty, soon available for adoption
Marty is quite the lucky puppy. Even though he was abandoned and the odds seemed to be anywhere else but in his favor, he was lucky enough to be spotted by someone who asked us for help. Emil, our volunteer was getting Johnny from the shelter and because Marty was in an area in his way, he decided to stop and look for him even if he thought he was not going to find him. He did find him but caught him with difficulty for Marty was very scared and tried to bite. He is now in a warm place, with lots of food which he probably never dreamed of. We hope that by tomorrow, he will relax so we can give him a bath to get rid of all the mud in his fur.
We’ll see how tomorrow goes.
Special case. Waldo still needs support
Waldo was found by a lady who asked for our help and at that time he was very close to die.We do not know if he got hit by a car or he was beaten. He has a broken leg, his ears are injured and many scars on his face from getting in fights with other tomcats. We do not know for how long he was left on the side of the road until someone stopped and helped him. Then we found out that Waldo had an owner who had too many cats. The owner passed away and all the cats were throuwn on the streets. We have no information about the other cats. Waldo was taken by Robi’s Association for Animal Protection and he was hospitalized at City Vet clinic, where he was operated and castrated. After surgery, Waldo is feeling better and he ajusted so well to the new situation although he has to live in a tiny place. He is a good tomcat, sweet and in need of afection. Continue reading
Johnny – another abandoned dwarf
Johnny is one of the many cases of abandonment we stumble upon almost daily. He was found on the way to the shelter, and was apparently thrown from a car as the people in the area say. In the middle of the field, he would have had no chance of survival as it seems he was living indoors until now, being very clean.
He is now scared, confused and doesn’t or refuses to understand what has happened to him. Johhny is a pekingese mix, 4-5 years of age, was dewormed and will be vaccinated soon.
If you wish to adopt him, please contact us: asociatia.robi@gmail.com
Boris, the little dog from a high speed road
What is there to do when, on a high speed road, full of speeding cars, you spot something the size of a cat crawling on the side of the road? You stop.. and that’s the reason why many people stop talking to you and think you’re a freak..
That’s what we did. We stopped and guess what? A small sized dog, extremely emaciated, full of ticks, starving and so scared of the noise from the cars that could only crawl. Continue reading
