What kind of people are those that abandon an animal with its babies near a high speed road, facing a certain death? Do they feel anything after they do this and go home? Do they sleep well? Do they have nightmares, remorse?

We will never know the answer to these questions until someone who actually did this will provide us with them.

We noticed the mother when she was nearly hit by a car. We pulled over and went back for her and saw she was nursing so we started to look for the puppies. We couldn’t find them so we took her with us so she was out of danger of being run over. We came back with help and continued the search. It took a while but it was worth it. We found them and took all of them to the shelter, even though this is not the ideal solution for them. They are not vaccinated and might get sick so we need a foster for them asap.
