We introduced Woof to you about a month ago, when we took him over, together with his little brother, from the yard of a warehouse where their mother had been killed.
If things are great for Seven, who was adopted shortly after, life isn’t quite easy for Woof. What seemed, in the beginning, to be a very serious rickets form, ended up by being a genetic malformation. So Woof has and will always have problems with his posterior legs. Besides the fact that he looks a little twisted from behind, Woof is a very playful and energetic puppy. He’s playing all day long, and he doesn’t seem to be bothered too much by the trouble with his legs.
For approximately 3 week he’s been given lots of calcium and vitamins and, according to the vets, he’ll have to receive this treatment until he is 6 months old. Everybody hopes that the problem will disappear with his growing up, but there is a risk it will stay this way. In this situation, we are aware that his adoption chances are very small. That’s why we’re looking for a special family, for which the looks don’t matter much, but whose love for animals could make Woof feel he’s not different.
Woof is now 2 months old, he’s vaccinated and very well educated.
